07-Nov-27 Roy Krakthong Festival.

Alas, the Roy Krakthong Festival is finally here.
I was really looking forward to the festival.

There was several area in Had Yai where the festival is held, but for mine, I decided to go to the Prince of Songkhla University which is filled with University students who were celebrating the festival.

I went to the area with my Mom after my work.
I thought the events are already over as..

There were a lot of people walking to the exit, and obviously they're part of the festival as...

They were carrying their 'decoration' out.

When we reached the 'float' area, we felt lucky as the Roy Krakthong area is still filled with people, it seems that we arrived at the right time.

The picture of King Bhumiphol, with a lot of Krakthongs in the pool.

There was a sturdy and classical stone bridge, linking the road to the building, and those pictures are what you can see from left and right.

The hall's filled with people, as well as several other interesting things. One of them would include these Krakthongs that won the University's prize.

These are the winners for Public Krakthongs.

Winner on the left, and the runner-up is on the right.

These are the Krakthong that won the consolation prize.

A lot of people were walking and watching the Krakthongs, but..
They were nothing compared to these Krakthongs who were made by the University Students for their project.

There were about 8 of them, but I couldnt take a picture of all of them because it's too crowded.
There was one Krakthong that I really liked, and it was my favourite.

This Krakthong generates an 'icy' smoke, which made it look beautiful. Obviously, it's a creation from the Technology team.

Heck, you can even see the Motherboard there.

In the hall, you can hear a nice tradisional Thai music. I look around the room and spotted these youngsters.

We continued and headed to the other side of the University.

There was quite a lot of interesting things in the display case, and these are some of them.

After having enough sight of a dead animals, we continued our journey.

There was quite a number of hawkers in the other side where the Festival is being held.
While we're having our dinner, it seems that another group of University Students were doing their 'acting' project.

I can say that it was quite interesting, but they surely messed up with their speakers. The sound suddently stopped working and the audiance couldnt hear a thing.

Finally after a while, we decided to go back.

We came across Southern Region's famous traditional play. I guess you can compare it with 'wayang' play, but the actors and singers already reflects the 'tradisionality' in it.

Well I guess that's it.
I heard there were several spot in Had Yai where the Roy Krakthong festival is being held, Prince of Songkhla University (The above) is one of the area, but I suppose there was another area for tourists.

Maybe I'll visit the place next year.
Hmm I wonder.

07-Nov-22 Only in Thailand

I've been quite busy with work, so there's been very few updates.

Anyways, I'm looking froward to the Roy Krakthong festival.
Had Yai will probably had a lot of tourists from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore for the celebration.

I guess I'll participate in it this year, hopefully, I wouldnt be too tired to.

By the way, I dont think you can see this anywhere other than Thailand.

There's a lot of people who earned their living by asking people to buy their banana to feed the elephants. In some cases, some people have been killed in the process as something had gone wrong.

Of course, it's entirely a new experience but, do it at your own risk if you see one.

07-Nov-17 Inspiring Thoughts

I hasnt been blogging for quite a while as I've been busy with my work.
I'm sure we all has plans in our mind everyday.

Whenever we're sitting down resting, trying to destress from work, something will always flash across our mind, and then we'll be "This is a good idea!"

After planning on how to accomplish them, you struggles to get them done, but as nothing is easy. Sometime you end up abandoning them as they seems impossible.

I'm someone who had tons of 'impossible' ideas, and day by day, I would spend hours planning on how to accomplish them. To be honest, it sometime troubles me to have a lot of ideas, as they actually stresses me.

Anyways, here are 7 words that I always remembers.
I'm pretty sure these can help you with nearly everything you do.

11-Nov-07 Defiant Malaysian protesters face tear gas

I had a talk with my friend who's in Petaling Jaya, and he showed me this video.
Hmm.. I wouldnt mind if anyone had any informations about this.

Followed with this video.

Having lived in Malaysia, I witnessed that Chinese holds an important role in moving the economy, without the Chinese then it's hard for Malaysian to compete with the world.

07-Nov-07 Thai King Leaves Hospital !!

There's been live News about the Thailand Election that will be held in the 23rd December.
Politics, has been quite a problem for the Kingdom lately, it seems that there's more corruptions than sincerity in Thai politics. I would like to say the same in various of countries as well, but let us not talk about it.

What really get gets my interest is the Live News about our King.
Personally, I've never had the chance to see our King, all I heard are the news of him and photograph or even old videos that was replayed back by TV Channels.

Few knows that the King had to undergo treatments from doctors in the Siriraj hospital, and Thai citizens had spent their precious time to camp outside the hospital and prays for the King's safety.

Sometimes ago, Thai government banned youtube.com off Thailand's network.
The reason comes in as 'someone' had offended our King by posting a video of him and describing him as a monkey. Little did I know the details but the ban goes for 2 months. Details here.

I gets instantly mad after reading some of the comments. In the past, if you offend our King, you'll get an instand behead. The same goes for China and other countries. If you dont know our culture and tries to 'I do what I want because this is a free world', you're just another idiot who fails to respect others.

Back to this.

The King leaves the hospital at 11.30, and it was the first time I've ever seen him Live on TV. I dont know what happened, but just by watching The King on TV, my tears somehow flows down non stop, which is, I suppose a miracle for me.

Having lived in at least 3 countries for years and enjoying Japanese cultures, I never considered myself to have a country of origin. I knew some of the deeds he had done in the past, and I do respect King Bhumibol, but never to the point of 'loyalty'.

Reuter News about King Bhumibol.

Rediff News about King Bhumibol.

I just wanted to share this with my readers. I never knew why the King is well respected, but today, I finally knew why Thailand Citizens loves our King, King Bhumibol Adunyadet.

How I wish I am there at the hospital together with countless of Thai citizens!

PS : My friend sent me this song, he mentioned that a group of foreigners made this song for the King, but no other details was inside.

Whoever knows where this song comes from, please tell me!

Thank you for this beautiful song!

07-11-4 Mystery of a Fish Pond

The mystery of a fish pond.

Once upon a day, upon reaching home from work..

Mom told me that there was several murder cases going on in my house.
Several dead fishes floated on the surface of the water, Mom wasnt sure what was wrong though.

One day, we somehow discovered the truth.

While I was busy preparing for work, I noticed a fish floating on the surface our water pond, it's still breathing though, at least, I know that it's still alive.

Fish dont float sideway like that dont they?
So I called Mom and entered the world of internet again.

After a while, Mom told me that this was the culprit.

To summarize what happened, this fish was actually smaller than the one you see now. And this fish seems to have been going around biting and eating 'smaller' fishes. Furthermore, it seems like other fishes cannot eat whatever food given due to what this fish had been doing.

Mom had no choice but to release this fish in a lake nearby.
